Filling in a Mood Monitor helps you to keep track of your mood over each day in the week. This way, you can identify which situations are most likely to trigger a negative mood, or a craving for alcohol/other drugs.
Take a couple of minutes to look over your Mood Monitor for the last week. See if you can spot any patterns in your highs and lows throughout the day or week.
Is your mood low at the same time each day?
If so, try to think about what happens at that time of day to lead to a low mood. Are you bored? Are you doing things that you don’t enjoy? Are you overwhelmed because you have too much to do, and can’t make a start?
